Carole Wilson

Carole D. Wilson, 76, of Oakwood, passed away at 10:35pm on Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Carole was born June 29, 1932, in Oakwood, Illinois, the daughter of Perry L. and Grace (Oakwood) Wilson. Survivors include her special foster son, Michael C. Stanley of California, four sisters, Wilma Brandon of Urbana, IL., Phyllis Cast of Oakwood, IL., Marian Stevens of Oakwood, IL., Lena Long of Park Rapids, MN., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wendell and Perry Wilson and two sisters, Betty Wolfe and Marjorie McNamara. Carole was an Assembly Line Worker for Honeywell in Gardenia, CA. She had previously worked at General Electric in Danville. Carole loved playing cards and cooking. She was a life member of the Oakwood Methodist Church. She truly enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. Visitation for Carole will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel, 105 East South Main Street. Burial will be held at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Caroles name to Oakwood United Methodist Church.
