Carole Knight

Carole J. Knight, 67, of Danville passed away at 10:20 pm Monday April 20, 2004 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on April 27, 1936 in Danville the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Frances (Drews) Schult. Carole married James Knight on February 15, 1957 in Danville. He survives of Danville. Other survivors include: one son, J.D. Knight of Danville; four daughters, Sherrie Knight of Danville, Jamie (Gary) Lindley of St Joseph, Laurie (Phil) Bernardi of Danville and Darcie (Matt) Lunsford of Champaign; one sister, Betty J. (Larry) Wilson of Danville and three grandchildren, Kirsten "Kate" Lindley of St Joseph, Kameron and Sam Bernardi of Danville. Carole was a 1954 graduate of Danville High School. She worked for Illinois Bell as a telephone operator, Zayre, IGA, Sunset Memorial Park and drove a school bus for Ryder Dist # 118. Past member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Her hobbies were numerous and included shopping and bargain hunting, playing the organ, flowers and gardening, The Balloon Classic, roller coasters, listening to her scanner, Illini Basketball, listening to Yanni and Barry Manilow. Her family and her grandkids were the most important.
