Carole I. Heintz

Carole I. Heintz, 72, of Danville, passed away at 11:39 AM on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. She was born on October 30, 1941 in Ivesdale, IL, the daughter of William and Dorothy (Slightom) Carico. She married Richard E. Heintz in 1959 and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1997. Her companion Samuel Francis has been by her side for 15 years. He survives. Surviving her are two sons, Richard L. (Lorraine) Heintz of Loda, IL and Tim Heintz of St. Joseph, IL, one brother, Bill Carico of Champaign, IL, one sister, Diane (Chuck) Hulse of Tolono, IL and three grandchildren, Ashley Aden, Richard S. Heintz and Megan Heintz. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, two sons, Michael Shawn Heintz, Shannon Heintz and one brother, Ernest Carico. She received her Associates degree from Parkland College and was a respiratory therapist. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Danville and loved making crafts, mostly of leather, and spending time gardening and working on her pond. A celebration of Caroles Life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. A visitation will be held from 11:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Cremation rites will follow the services. Memorials can be made in Caroles name to the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
