Carol Wilson, 76, of Danville Illinois, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2014 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center with her family by her side. Carol was born the daughter of Frank and Grace (Hibbs) McGilvrey on December 17, 1937 in Danville Illinois. She married Francis H. Turpin. She later married Steven Wilson, and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2009. She is survived by one brother, Frank (Kathy) Mcgilvrey; two sons, Daniel (Linda) Turpin, Christopher (Barbara) Wilson; three daughters, Linda White, Betsy Wilson and Carrie Cunningham; seven grandchildren, Kayla (Ryan Walker) Wilson, Samantha (Chris Wills) White, Melissa Turpin, Samantha Turpin, Alexis White, Chloe Cunningham and Audrey Cunningham; and one great- grandchild, Aubrey White. Carol worked at First MidWest Bank as Senior Vice President. After retiring, Carol worked as a Realtor for Century 21, a bookkeeper for Dr. Steven L. Wilson, and served lunch for St. Paul grade school where her granddaughter attended school. Carol was a member of the Danville Country Club and the Apollo Great Lakes RV group. Our mother was compassionate, caring, thoughtful, loving, and funny. A celebration of Carols life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Father Greg Nelson will be officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday April 15, 2014 from 5:00- 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in Carols name to Espenscheid Dog Park, the Danville Humane Society, or a charity of the donors choice.
