Danville - Carol J. Watkins, 63, of Danville passed away at 5:40 PM on September 16, 2016 at home. Carol was born September 4, 1953 in Daggett, MI to Wesley and Dorothy Miller. The family eventually moved to the Home Gardens area where Carol attended Westville Schools, graduating in 1972. In 1973 she married Don Angus in Canada. A few years later she returned to the Danville area where she started working at Presence Health Hospital. In 2004, after being together 12 years, she married Ralph Watkins; sadly he preceded her in death in 2005. Retiring after 28 years in 2013 Carol enjoyed traveling, playing bingo and spending time with family and friends. Surviving Carol is her mother, Dorothy Woods; son, Steven (Krista) Angus; daughter, Christina (Robert) Spencer; sister, Maxine Miller; brothers, Marvin (Bonnie) Miller, David Miller, Ron Miller; granddaughter, Alicia; grandson, Riley; surrogate grandchildren, Alexis and Reese; nephew, Anthony Miller; niece, Grace Miller. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Verna (Bernard) Lewis, Dennis (Patsy) Miller, Wayne (Elaine) Miller; as well as numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Wesley Miller, aunt Arlene Stegemeyer and uncle Roger Miller. Committal service will be held at the Chapel Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Park, 3901 North Vermilion, Danville, IL on October 8, 2016 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family will be taking donations for the Danville Township Food Pantry, 141 North Walnut Street, Danville, IL 61832.
