Carol Sue Brown

Cayuga, Ind. -- Carol Sue Brown, 48, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:20 a.m. EDT Monday, June 20, 2011 at her residence in Cayuga. She was born November 14, 1962 in Clinton, Indiana, the daughter of the late James D. and Lillian Proll Cummins. She married Leon Brown on April 6, 1997 in Eugene, Indiana. He survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Debbie(Jeremy)Oak of Tangier, Indiana; Amanda Sue Ross of Cayuga, Indiana and Beth(Jim)Cope of Perrysville, Indiana; seven grandchildren, James Oak, Damion Oak, Lilly Oak, Aylah Ross, Makenzie Ross, Bradley Cope and Hayden Cope; four sisters, Betty(Dowayne)Osborne; Ellen(Larry)Johnson and JoAnn(William)Peterson all of Cayuga, Indiana and Mary(Terry)Badger of Covington; three brothers, James F.(Laura)Cummins of Cayuga, Indiana; David(Terry)Cummins of Lewistown, Illinois and John(Teresa)Cummins of Danville, Illinois. Carol formerly worked at Steel Grip, Inc. in Kingman, Indiana, retiring in 1999. She was a 1981 graduate of North Vermillion High School and a member of the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary Unit 263. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. There will be no services per Carol's request. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date.
