Carol Myers

Carol A. Myers, 66, of Savoy, formerly of Danville, passed away at 1:50pm Saturday February 19, 2005 at Colonial Manor. She was born December 26, 1938 in Danville, the daughter of Orville R. and Edna Mae (McConnell) Jenkins. She married Jerry Myers January12, 1958, and then later married Maurie Baumeister in 1962, in Danville. She is survived by one son, Jeffrey (Carole) J. Myers of Danville, one step-daughter Marisa (Scott) Curry of Hamilton, Ohio; one step-son, Marty (Sheryl) Baumeister of Oakwood, two grandsons, Drew and David Myers, both of Danville, and four step-grandchildren, Alex and Heather Curry, and Andy and Amy Baumeister. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Maurice, one son and one daughter. Carol was a 1957 graduate of Danville High School. She worked for R&S, Interstate, and Illinois printing companies. She retired in 1998 after 29 years of service as a proofreader with the University of Illinois printing division. Carol was an avid reader, collected elephants, and loyal U of I sport fan. She loved spending quality time with her two grandsons.
