Carol Kaye Kietzmann, 70, of Tilton passed away on June 16, 2021 at Accolade Healthcare in Paxton. She was born on May 7, 1951 to Gertrude and George Cooper at their home in Muncie. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were siblings Scott Dearing, Alice Truax, Barbara Midcap, James Cooper, Dewey Cooper, Richard Cooper, Bobby Cooper, Debbie Cooper, a nephew, and her two beloved dogs Bubba and Bo.
Carol married Gerald Kietzmann in October of 1987 and together they spent 35 wonderful years together. He survives. Also surviving are her daughters Kristina and Amelia, stepchildren Russell (Cindy) Kietzmann, Karen (Scott Watson) Kietzmann, and Crystal (Michael) Hammer, many grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings Shirley Hardesty, Rose Cooper, Bill (Sheila) Cooper, Helen Hardesty, and Ron (Charlene) Cooper, along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Carol took care of many people throughout her career as a CNA before her eventual retirement from the Danville VA Medical Center. She and Gerald were members of the Moose Club and would occasionally be seen tearing it up on the dance floor together. She loved to play cards, complete puzzles, read her Mary Higgins Clark books, and of course, play her slots. She looked forward to going out on the pontoon boat and traveling. She was so proud to have completed her bucket list of traveling to all 50 of the United States and beyond. She and Gerald took several cruises, went to Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Caribbean Islands, and many more.
