Carol K. Graves

Carson City, Nevada - Carol K. Graves, 69, of Carson City and formerly of Cayuga and Greencastle, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at 3:20 p.m. PDT at the Carson Tahoe Medical Center in Carson City, Nevada. Carol was born December 26, 1939 in Greencastle, Indiana the daughter of the late Clayton and Mary E. Seymour Sutton. She married Robert D. Graves on November 16, 1958 in Jellico, Tennessee. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2007. Survivors include her children: Christopher D. Graves of Seattle, Washington; Edith K. Dowers of Cayuga, Indiana; Robert Dale Graves of Carson City, Nevada (Formerly of Cayuga) and Patricia J. Stanfield of Carson City, Nevada; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Wilma Phipps and Barbara Ashworth both of Greencastle, Indiana; one brother, John Sutton of Greencastle, Indiana. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gary "Butch" Sutton. Carol was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing slot machines and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Graveside services and burial: 4 p.m. EDT Friday, July 10, 2009 at Clinton Falls Cemetery in rural Greencastle, Indiana; Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. EDT Friday, July 10, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana.
