Carol Jean Carnahan

Carol Jean (Olsen) Carnahan, 75, of Oakwood, passed away at 1:20 PM on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Amber Glen Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Urbana, IL with her family by her side. Carol was born May 4, 1943 in Hinsdale, IL to Stanley Christian and Hazel Marion (Starr) Olsen. She married Ben Charles Carnahan on September 3, 1961 in Westmont, IL. He survives. She is survived by her son, Michael (Lisa) Carnahan of Oakwood; daughter, Kelly (Phil) Jagelski of Menomonee Falls, WI; five grandchildren, Kyle Carnahan, Zachary Carnahan, Mariah Carnahan, Nicholas Jagelski, and Connor Jagelski; one brother, Ken (Lyn) Olsen of Tobaccoville, NC; and two sisters, Mary (late Jack) Spinney of Downers Grove, IL and Sally (Richard) Burke of Boyd, Tx. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and David Olsen. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Michael Carnahan. Visitation will be held the evening prior on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery at a later date.
