Carol D. Hearnley, 62, of Bismarck, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Friday, February 25th, 2011 at her home. Carol was born on March 16th, 1948, in Danville, the daughter of Clarence and Opal Arlene (Musson) Dodge. She married Stacy Hearnley Sr. on August 7th, 1966 in Danville. He survives. She is also survived by two sons- Stacy (Jacinda) Hearnley II and Chad (Maridith) Hearnley both of Danville; one brother- Sherman (Vivian) Dodge of Danville; three sisters- Shirley Colleen of Danville, Jerilyn Maida of Tampa, Florida and Evelyn (Bob) Layton of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren- Emily Hearnley, Isabella Ridgway, Ethan Hearnley, Ian Hearnley and Raylynn Hearnley; special friend- Virginia Brittingham of Carmel, Indiana; special niece- Patti (Tim) Welker of Bismarck; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and niece- Carolyn King. Carol attended Oakwood High School. She enjoyed going to the Red Mask Theater and to the Danville Light Opera. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Family was very important to her and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her and loved her. A Celebration of the life of Carol D. Hearnley will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
