Carol F. Weir

Carol Frances Weir, age 95 of Danville, passed away at 10:38am on December 20th, 2020 at Pleasant Meadows Nursing home in Chrisman, Illinois.

Carol was born on August 19th of 1925, in Hymera, Indiana, the son of Clinton & Margaret Weir (Kondas)

He later married Maxine Michael, on June 9, 1951. Maxine preceded him in death on December 17, 2005.

Carol is survived by one daughter, Pam (Bobby) LeBlanc, Daughter in law Mara Weir, one brother Clinton (Sue) Weir Jr, two sisters, Barb Alvis and Carolyn Case (Bob Quick), along with several nieces and nephews. Grandchildren Marc (Lori) Weir, Stefanie (Jeremy) Smith, Gregory (Sarah) Weir, Jennifer Clark, Jason Sroka. Great grandchildren, Dallas, Daelyn, Dhakiya Weir, Emalee, Jace, and Blake Smith, Georgia and Morgan Sroka, and Nolan and Rylee Weir. Carol was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maxine, his son Bruce Weir, one brother Leroy Weir, three sisters, Leona Smalovich, Judy McCoy, and Mary Richardson.

He went into the Army, where he was an MP, he served in Korea. He later worked for Lauhoff Grain Company as an electrician where he retired from. After retirement, he opened his own small business, Weirs Sharpening service. Later in life, he found joy in writing, he wrote 72 inspirational poems about lifes celebrations, trials, and experiences.

A private family service is being held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
