Carol J. (Anderson) Carter, 85, passed away on Friday April 06, 2018. She was born on September 11, 1932 to August and Hilda Anderson. They precede her in death. She married her first husband Wilfred in 1951 and her second husband, Walter (Phil) Carter in 1973. They precede her death. Also preceding Carol in death include a sister, Mary Gilliland; and a brother, Paul Anderson. Carol was life time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She graduated from Danville High School in 1950 and graduated from Danville Beauty School shortly after. She was a licensed beautician and worked at Flamingo Hair Products for 45 years, retiring in 1996. Carol's passion was singing. She sang with Danville Show Chorus of Sweet Adelines and with quartets for 43 years. Carol designed the stage props for many years and Phil regularly helped her hang props. They were a team. The ladies in Sweet Adelines were Carol's family, she loved them all. She especially loved her quartet Donna Limp, Peggy Marruffo, and Rita Dean. Carol also loved her dear friend Cleta Hicks and many friends at Liberty Estates. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Kent Tibben. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
