Carol 'Annie' Ann Perkins

Carol Ann "Annie" Perkins, 82, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:42pm, Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at North Logan Healthcare, Danville. She was born the daughter of Stanley and Audrey {Cobble} Perkins on April 6, 1935, in Georgetown, IL. Annie attended the Olivet Grade School and then moved to Georgetown in 1953. She was a member of Pleasant Mound Church of Christ. She truly enjoyed the holidays and enjoyed riding her 3-Wheel bike around town, where she was known as the "Can Lady", and later enjoyed the motorized version which helped her to get around to more places. She loved visiting with friends and enjoyed going to Hardees. Annie was a big Cubs fan and really loved her nieces and nephews. Annie will be missed by: her sister, Joyce Perkins-Keener of Danville; her sisters-in-law, Grace Perkins of Ohio, Andrea Perkins of Wisconsin, Joyce Ann Perkins of Washington, & Violet Perkins of New York; and her 13 nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. The family would like to thank the staff at North Logan Healthcare for the excellent care they provided Annie. A celebration of Annie's life will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 4, 2017, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, with Pastor Paul Kent officiating. Visitation will be held 10:00am to 11:00am Monday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Georgetown.
