Carmen Rodriguez, 85, of Danville passed away at 9:16am Friday June 24, 2005 at St James Hospital, Chicago Heights, Illinois. She was born August 19, 1919 in Kennedy, Texas; the daughter of the late Ambrosio and Celestina (Garza) Castaneda. She married Guillermo Rodriguez February, 1933 in Kennedy. Survivors include six sons; Frank (Betty) Rodriguez of Fithian, Adan (Jan) Rodriguez of Casey, Guillermo (Josie) Rodriguez Jr. of Homewood, Adolfo (Rhonda) Rodriguez of Waukesha, Wisconsin; Daniel (Listha) Rodriguez of Danville, and David Rodriguez of Fithian, one daughter, Amelia (Lewis) Simon of Waynetown, Indiana; 22 grandchildren; Connie, Alisha, Debbie, Jeffrey, Julie, Tina, Scot, Melanie, Tonie, Mike, Ariana, Alicia, Justin, Audra, Adam, Mailin, Daniel, Jr., Temary, Joanna, Christiana, Carla, and Danielle; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, two sisters, and several step-brothers and step-sisters. Carmen was a homemaker. She was an active member in Central Christian Church. Her hobbies included cooking and gardening. She enjoyed family reunions and holidays, especially Christmas. Carmen made friends very easily. She was very proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
