Carlos A. Castillo, 64, of Danville passed away at 10:39AM Tuesday August 17, 2004 at Provena United Samaritan Hospital Logan Campus. Carlos was born January 3, 1940 in Abosolo Coahuila, Mexico, the son of Leocadio and Albina (deAndrade`) Castillo. Carlos married Helen (Baker) Castillo on December 5, 1981 in Watseka, she survives. He is also survived by two daughters Melissa Castillo of Danville and Melinda (Terry) Sandlin of Marion, Iowa, and one stepdaughter Rose Williams of Pekin, three stepsons Richard (Julie) Williams of Gibson City, Pete Williams and Bruce Williams of Danville, and grandchildren, Joshua Williams, Megan Blakeney, Kristin Sandlin, Kalyna Miller, Alex Espinoza, and Anthony Castillo. Many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews also survive Carlos. He loved his grandchildren dearly. Carlos was preceded in death by his first wife Linda Ostrander, a son Carlitos Castillo, and granddaughter Carmen Espinoza. Carlos was a United States Army Veteran. He worked as a hot metal operator at General Motors Central Foundry with 25 years service. His hobby was gardening. Carlos was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses Church.
