Carla "Sally" Jones, 65, of Tilton passed away on January 17, 2023 at OSF Sacred Heart in Danville. She was born Carla Wells on September 13, 1957 in Danville to parents Floyd and Priscilla "Sid" Wells. They preceded her in death. Also preceding were her sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Ron Miller.
Carla is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Steve Jones; their daughter Tonia (Danny) Barnes of Veedersburg; and her grandchildren whom she absolutely adored, Kaylie Jones and Bradey Barnes of Veedersburg. She also leaves behind her siblings Connie (Dave) Jackson of Tilton, Jim (Jo) Wells of Tilton, Floyd (Jennifer) Wells of Oakwood, and Tim (Chris) Wells of Danville, as well as many nieces and nephews. She always looked forward to spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by all.
Carla worked at the Peterson Puritan Factory in Danville for over 20 years before her retirement. In her younger years, she loved fishing. But as of late, Carlas passions included crocheting, reading, gardening, and of course, her cats.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion St., in Danville. A funeral service celebrating her life will take place following at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery near her parents. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Liver Foundation to raise awareness for those suffering from liver diseases, or the Alzheimers Association.
