Carla Jo Bradley

Carla Jo Bradley of Oakwood, IL passed away at home Saturday, December 8th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Carla was born on June 17, 1957 in Paris, IL. She was the daughter of Carolyn McCammon. She married Marty Bradley June 19, 1982.

Carla retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield on June 30, 2017 after 31 years of employment.

Carla loved her family above all, especially watching the grandkids grow into young adults. She loved her friends, shopping (especially for the grandkids), planting flowers in the spring, cooking, reading a good book, Hallmark movies, and trips to Vegas.

She is survived by her husband Marty Bradley of Oakwood, IL, their children Scott (Rika) Petticrew of Danville, IL and Brooke (Josh) Hughes of Oakwood, IL; five grandchildren Kiara, Tyler, Lyrik, Zander, and Amayah.

She is also survived by her mother, Carolyn McCammon of Urbana, IL., two sisters; Sherry (Randy) Calin of Ohio, Vickie (Jim) Henry of East Moline, IL.; two brothers Wayne Redmon and Dave (Teresa) Wright, both of Florida and brother in law Dean Davies of Armstrong, IL, honorary sisters Terrie Chesrown and Sissy Feutz and her Blue Cross Blue Shield sister, Mary Jolley.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Davies; and her grandfather, Ray Simpson.

A Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Per Carlas wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
