Carl White

Carl G. White, 65, of Williamsport, IN passed away on April 14, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Carl was born on February 4, 1944 in Danville, IL the son of James C. & Susie B. (Hashman) White. He married Ethel M. Rush on October 2, 1964 in Danville. She survives along with one son Michael G. White of Williamsport; three daughters, Teresa (Rob) Hayner of Monticello, IL, Kathy (Kenny) Jackson of Danville, IL, and Karla (Mike) OBanion of Danville, IL; seven brothers, Charlie (Carol) White of Ft. Pierce, FL, George (Betty) White of Tilton, IL, Henry (Helen) White of Danville, IL, Hershel (Charlotte) White of Danville, IL, Bob (Peggy) White of Danville, IL, Bill (Deea) White of Tilton, IL, and Albert White of Danville, IL; three sisters, Mary Peterson of Westville, IL, Nancy Hardy of Danville, IL, and Linda White Danville, IL; 10 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Jerry and special father-in-law and mother-in-law Abe & Katherine Rush. Carl worked for GM as a grinder for 30 years before his retirement in 1992. Carls hobbies included camping and listening to country music, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family. A Celebration of Carls Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Gundy Cemetery in Bismarck, IL.
