Carl Shaw

WESTVILLE - Carl M. Shaw, 68, of Westville, passed away at 5:15pm, Tuesday, June 13th, 2006, at Provena USMC in Danville. He was born in Danville on November 22nd, 1937, to John and Josephine (Marlow) Shaw. On March 19th, 1966, he married Eileen Boyle in Williamsport, IN. She survives of Westville. Other survivors include: his children, Greg Shaw and Sherry Roberts, both of Westville; his five grandchildren, Andrea Shaw, Greg Shaw Jr., Brent Shaw, Jimmy Roberts Jr., and Karlee Sanders, all of Westville; his brother, Harry (Mary) Shaw of Westville; his sister, Rose Wooden of Michigan; his brother-in-law, John (Dian) Boyle of Danville; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, and beloved brother-Chris Shaw, preceded him in death. Carl attended Westville High School and was a veteran of the US Army and was in the Marine Reserves. He worked for Lauhoff for 37 years and retired in 1997. He enjoyed NASCAR, the Chicago Bears, being outside, and spending time with family and friends. He especially cherished his grandchildren. A celebration of Carls life will be at 11:00am, Friday, June 16th, 2006, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel located at 414 S State St in Westville. Visitation will be 9a-11a prior to the service at the funeral home. Chaplain Mack will officiate. He will be laid to rest at the Danville National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Westville American Legion Post #51.
