Carl Mccabe

Carl W McCabe, 89, of Westville, passed away at 3:10 pm, on Friday, February 9, 2018, at his home. He was born on January 28, 1929, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Willard & Elsie (Webb) McCabe. Carl was united in marriage to Thelma Rentfrow on October 26, 1957, she survives. He will be dearly missed by: daughters, Pamela (Brian) Cork & Rhonda (Tom) Haugen; son, John (Ramona) McCabe; grandchildren, Army Captains Nolan (Danielle) Cork, Carlee (Dan) Bauer, Army 7th SFG Curtis Haugen, Corey (Casey) Haugen, Andy (Tina) Haugen, Darin (Candy) McCabe, Zach & Jacey McCabe; great grandchildren, Hudson Cork, Brixton Bauer, Cody & Cooper Haugen, Madison, Jace & Kierstin McCabe; brother, Earl McCabe. Carl was preceded in death by: Parents, seven brothers, two sisters, granddaughter, Cami McCabe. Carl was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy. He attended Coyne Electric School in Chicago. He worked as a electrician for Heat Craft in Danville for 47 years. He was a member at Trinity United Church of Christ in Westville, there he taught Sunday school for 43 years & also did maintenance work for the church. Also, a member at Central Park Church of Christ. Formerly on the board of directors at Landmark Credit Union. Carl's wishes will be honored with cremation rights through Sunset - Urbas Chapel, Westville. Memorial donations can be made to the Central Park Church of Christ, Westville.
