Carbette 'Sonny' Girardier

Carbette "Sonny" Girardier, 93, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2020 in Ambia, IN surrounded by loved ones. He was born the son of August and Al Mary Girardier on August 13, 1926 in Richwoods, Missouri. He married Betty Heiney on October 20, 1956 in Holly Springs, MS.

Preceding Sonny in death include both his parents; wife, Betty; two brothers and four sisters.

Sonny leaves behind his three children, Thomas (Beth) Girardier of Bolingbrook, IL, Tim (Kathy) Girardier of Ambia, IN, and Tamara Girardier of Douglasville, GA; three grandchildren, James Girardier, Katie (Matt) Collins, and Jerrette (Tori) Girardier; two great grandchildren, Luke and Lizzie Collins; and his companion of 12 years, Sandy McQueen.

Sonny was born in Missouri and lived in Grubbville, MO for many years. He loved to hunt, fish, spend time with family, and go to church. He was a member of Life Church in Danville. Sonny was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. He will be missed dearly by family.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements. He will be laid to rest at Crestview Cemetery in St Clair, Missouri.
