Danville- Camille G. Block, 93, of Danville, passed away at 7:40 pm on September 15, 2013 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She was born on September 15, 1920 in Fisher, IL to Ernest and Harriet Hamm Trotter. She was married to Raymond Block on October 28, 1937 in Danville, IL. After their divorce in 1958 he preceded her in death. She is survived by her Sons Jerry Block, Kenneth (Marlene) Block, James (Nan) Block, Richard “Whitey” Block; daughters Karen (David) Martin, Debby (Bill) Townsley, Beth Carrigan,; she is also survived by 23 grand and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Marilyn (Dick) Jones. Camille would often be found fishing with her friends Vic and the late Fran Tarquini in all the local lakes, when Camilles children were younger she enjoyed taking them to the bowling alley with her, where Camille was a member of a bowling league. Camille loved to travel to Las Vegas and play the slot machines with her daughter Debby. A celebration of Camilles life will be held at 11:00am on Friday September 20, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating and entombment at Sunset Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday September 19, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Memorials may be made in Camilles name to Vermilion County Conservation District and The Breast Cancer Foundation. Condolences may be left at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
