Callie Louise Hampton

Terre Haute, Ind. -- Callie Louise Hampton, 73, of Terre Haute and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away at 10:55 p.m. EDT Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Meadows Manor North in Terre Haute. Callie was born May 2, 1935 in China Grove, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Olin C. and Opal L. Ervin Hampton. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah(Danny)Moore of Perrysville, Indiana. Callie was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie JoAnne Drake. Callie was a retired Home Health Care Aide. She was a former teachers aide in the Indianapolis Public School System (I.P.S.) and formerly worked at Merchants Bank in Indianapolis. Callie enjoyed cooking and working on arts and crafts. Funeral services: Noon EDT Friday, April 10, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Visitation: 10 a.m. EDT until time of services at the funeral home. Cremation to follow.
