Byron K. Bodine, 58, of Bismarck passed away at 12:55 PM Thursday September 30, 2004 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St Louis MO after a battle with leukemia. He was born January 31, 1946 in Danville, the son of Dean and Wilma Brown Bodine. He married Judy French on September 5, 1965 in Bismarck. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Darren (Tracy) Bodine of Monticello, Bill (Stephanie) Bodine of Dekalb;One daughter; Kelly (Skip) Truex of Bismarck; two brothers, Robert (Roberta) Bodine and Laurel (Donna) Bodine, both of Bismarck; six grandchildren, Zac and Cole Truex of Bismarck; Hannah, Owen and Lucas Bodine of Monticello; and Ross Bodine of Dekalb.He was preceded in death by his parents. Byron was a lifelong farmer in the Bismarck area and enjoyed raising pure breed livestock. He was a member of the Bismarck United Methodist Church and a former Sunday school teacher. Byron was the Newell Township clerk and former trustee, and was a former school board member of the Bismarck-Henning district. Byron enjoyed spending time at the Bismarck coffee shop visiting with friends who considered him a charter member. He was an avid Illini and Bismarck sports fan.
