Byressa Rozell

Byressa Maye Rozell, 91, of Danville Il, passed away on Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the Brookhaven Medical Center in Muskegon MI. Byressa was born on August 8, 1921 to Robert and Martha (Burke) Baker in Oakwood IL. She married Donald Rozell on May 4, 1941 in Perrysville MO., he preceded her in death on July 11, 1981. Byressa is survived by her sons Larry (Rita) Rozell of Ypsilanti MI, Mark (Cheryl) Rozell of Avon IN and Michael Rozell of Danville IL; daughter Susan (Brian) Link of Muskegon MI; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Robert and Kenneth and her granddaughter Kirsten. A graduate of Danville High Byressa dedicated life to her family. A former Cub Scout den mother and Sunday school teacher she enjoyed catching up with her friends over lunch. Byressa will be remembered as a woman who loved her children and took great pride in her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Byressa's life will be held at 10:00am on Monday January 21, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville IL with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating and burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00pm on Sunday January 20, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
