Brundy Lyons

Brundy Lynn Lyons, 60, of Fairmount passed away at home on May 1, 2023. She was born in Danville on March 4, 1963 to parents Terry Davis and Carol DeVoss. They both preceded her in death, along with Brundys brother Kevin. She attended Oakwood High School and graduated with the Class of 1981. She continued her education after high school at Danville Area Community College. She most recently worked in the Help Center at Walgreens for the past 15 years.

Brundy is survived by her husband Jeff Lyons and son Tyler Lyons, both of Fairmount, and her sister-in-law Lori Lyons and her wife Nancy Shaw. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews Gabe Lyons, Jacob Lyons, Preslee Lyons, and Tommie Davis, and many dear friends.

Brundy never knew a stranger and was known for making friends everywhere she went. She loved surrounding herself with friends and always looked forward to their annual Louisville trips. She was very excited when she received her first handgun and riffle and could play poker with the best of them. She enjoyed all animals but had a particular fondness for cats. She was an avid reader and even enjoyed fishing. She had quite the collection of Barbie Dolls as well. Brundy was a beautiful soul and she will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10 -11 am at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville. A funeral service celebrating her life will take place following at 11 am at the funeral home. She will be placed to rest at Sunset Memorial Park next to her family following services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Kidney Foundation.
