Bruce Vandiver

Bruce Wayne Vandiver Sr., 56, of Danville, passed away on January 25, 2010. He was born on June 22, 1953. He is the son of the Thomas and China Vandiver. He married Yvonne Gentry on October 24, 1989. She survives. Other survivors include six children: Rebecca Brown, Lillian (David) Gentry, Jennifer (Kevin) Cooper, Lynn Gentry, LeRoy (Angela) Gentry, Bruce Vandiver Jr.; his mother; several grandchildren; three sisters: Clarice (Virgil) Grinstead, Vicki Vandiver, Phyllis (Ron) Cox; two brothers: Gordon (Charlotte) Parson, and Donald Vandiver. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, two brothers: James Vandiver and Eric Vandiver. He will be dearly missed by his wife and children. A celebration of life service for Bruce will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Salvation Army, 855 East Fairchild Avenue, in Danville with Captain Daniel Sawka officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Salvation Army. Sunset Funeral Home of Danville is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made in Bruces name to the Salvation Army.
