Bruce Trusler

Danville - Bruce Trusler, 57, of Danville, passed away on February 5, 2014. He was born August 25, 1956 in Danville, IL the son of Eddie and Louise Jones Trusler. He is survived by his mother, Louise; his sisters, Shirley (Ed) Dreher and Patty Miller; his brother, Wayne (Shelley Sexton) Trusler; his daughter, Abbie (Damon Fox) Trusler; his granddaughter, Olivia Fox; his nieces and nephews, David Trusler, Candy George, Shawn Miller, Greg Miller, Derek Sanders, and Neil Culpepper; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Eddie and a special uncle Wade Jones of Rison AR. Bruce was an avid drag racing fan as well as a lover of vintage hot rods. When Bruce was young his father would take him and his brother to the Cole County Dragway to watch the races. Bruce also loved to spend time in the kitchen and in the backyard cooking. It wasnt the cooking that Bruce loved; it was the fact that he was with his family when he did it. Bruce loved his family especially his granddaughter Olivia; he will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. A celebration of Bruces life will be held at 2pm on Saturday February 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. A visitation will be held on Saturday February 8, 2014 from 1pm to 2pm at the funeral home. Bruce will be buried at Springhill Cemetery on a later date. Special thanks to Union Corner United Methodist Church for providing the luncheon after the service.
