Bruce Smith, Sr.

WESTVILLE - Bruce A. Smith, Sr., 51, of Westville, passed away at 8:20am, on Sunday, August 27th, 2006, at his home. Mr. Smith was born on October 31st, 1954, the son of Harry and Anne (Barney) Smith. They both preceded him in death. He graduated from Westville High School. Bruce married Ellen A. McBride in 1972. He is survived by: his children, Bruce (Sheila) Smith, Jr. of Catlin, IL, Shane Smith of Pooler, GA, currently serving his country in Iraq, and Tammi (Kevin) McCandlish of Florence, KY; his sisters, Barb (John) Blaufuss of Catlin, IL, and Sheila (Mike) Woods of Westville, IL; his five grandchildren; his eleven nieces; his three nephews; his twelve great nieces; 14 great nephews; and one great-great niece. Three brothers-Robert E. Smith, Carl D. Smith, and James D. Smith, preceded Bruce in death. There will be a private memorial service for the family.
