Lodi, Ind. -- Bruce Rossiter, 25, of Lodi and formerly of Westville and Georgetown, Illinois, passed away at 11:55 p.m. EST Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born July 1, 1982 in Danville, Illinois, the son of Roy Rossiter and Sheila Huber. He married Tasha Brown on April 6, 2002 at Forest Glen Preserve in Georgetown, Illinois. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Challenge and Bruce Rossiter, II both at home; one daughter, AbiGayle Rossiter at home; mother and stepfather, Sheila(Jim)Murdock of Westville, Illinois; father, Roy Rossiter of Georgetown, Illinois; paternal grandmother, Betty Craig of Georgetown, Illinois; one sister, Val Rossiter of Westville, Illinois; one brother, Chad(Lisa)Rossiter of Ridge Farm, Illinois; step sister, Lindsee Peterson of Danville, Illinois; four nephews, Devin Rossiter,Chad Rossiter, Jr., Brian Rossiter and Ethan Miller; several aunts and uncles. Bruce formerly worked at Schultz Landscaping in Tilton, Illinois as a landscaper. He was a 2001 graduate of Georgetown High School. Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting, football, wrestling and running/building derby cars. He enjoyed spending time with his children and especially loved Tasha with all of his heart. Funeral services: 1 p.m. EST Friday, February 15, 2008 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Ray Price; Burial: McKendree Cemetery in rural Georgetown, Illinois; Visitation: 11 a.m. EST Friday, February 15, 2008 until time of services at the funeral home.
