Bruce Mcandrew

Heaven Welcomes Another Fisherman Bruce McAndrew was born on August 26, 1939 and passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018. He was the son of Kenneth and Laura, brother to Ken, Ronald, Emma Jane and Bonnie, he was an uncle to many. Bruce was a devoted husband of 51 years to his wife Barbara, father to Marla (Jesse) and Kevin (Sonja), and was a proud Opa to Marlena, Bruce, and Keely. He proudly served in the US Air Force, he loved helping people, wood working, writing poems, fishing (A Lot) and looked forward to participating in the Annual Champaign County Firefighters Crappie Tournament with his son Kevin. Most of all Bruce loved his entire family. It was a blessing to have him as our Dad. His kindness, patience, and generosity to all will not be forgotten. He had a fierce love for his family and his sense of humor will truly be missed!!! We love you Dad!! The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff and hospice nurses at Carle Hospital, Champaign County Firemen, and Chaplain Dave who came to visit for all of their kindness.
