Bridgett 'Susie' Evans

Bridgett Sue "Susie" Evans, 67 of Danville passed away on June 4, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on December 1, 1955 in Danville to parents William "Bill" and Evelyn Bannon Pate. They preceded her in death.

Bridgett is survived by her sons Joseph Jonathon "JJ" Evans and Terry Wayne (Abbigail) Evans; grandchildren Theodore, Anna, Alexander Wayne, Chase Michael, and John Axle Raine. She is also survived by sister Linda (Richard) Parsons and brothers Joseph L. Pate, Travis (Krystal Zimmerman) Pate; ex-daughter-in-law Lynette Evans; nephews Grant Pate, Sebastian Wright, Christopher Sales, and Mark (LeAnn) Cline; as well as niece Stephanie (John) OBannion and their children Brandon Cline, Emily Haga, Heavenly OBannion; niece Theresa (Ronnie) Smith; niece Amanda (Chris) Alianz and their children Avery and Trey Jackson; and her special friend John Smith. Her laugh and personality were the life and soul of her family; she will be dearly missed.

Bridgett is also preceded in death by her daughter Melissa Stokes and her husband Joe Evans, her brothers Christopher Wolf Pate and Harry Franklin Pate, sister JoAnn Stinett, nieces Tina Marie Pate and Jamie Cline, and daughter-in-law Ashley Evans.

Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. She will be placed to rest next to her daughter, Melissa, at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. A Celebration of her life will take place at a later date as well. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in her honor to the American Cancer Foundation.
