Brian Lynn Pirie, 47, of Catlin, passed away at 6:24 p.m. Friday February 9, 2007 at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. Brian was born on March 9, 1959 in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the son of Robert Lynn and Bette Rae (Dodson) Pirie. He married Bonnie Kay Lewis on April 21, 1979 in Danville. She survives along with their four children; Bree Anne Pirie and fianc(c) Brian Rudin, both of Bloomington, Illinois, Benjamin Lewis Lynn Pirie, Brodie Jacob Pirie, and Bethany Kay Pirie, all of Catlin. Also, one sister Brenda Ruth (Chris) Hawkins of Abington, Virginia, one brother, Brent Wayne Pirie of Orlando, Florida, and many other loving family and friends. Brian previously worked for Four Leaf Corporation and Berkley-Davis. He spent the last nineteen years as an employee at Danville Metal Stamping, most recently as an IT Manager. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially loved playing golf. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Danville, where he played in the church orchestra and choir. He also served as a Royal Ranger leader of the high school boys, and was a former deacon. Brian was a loving son, husband, father, devout Christian, and a leader in the community. He also was a person who liked to have fun. A celebration of life for Brian Lynn Pirie will be at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at First Assembly of God Church, with Pastor David Rumley officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00p.m. Monday, February 12, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Memorials may be made in Brians name to First Assembly of God Church.
