Brian H. Neverman

Brian H. Neverman, 47, of Tolono passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. He was born in Champaign on March 3, 1977, the son of Paula Sheffler. 

Brian lived life to the fullest, always embracing new adventures and experiences. He cherished being a father and took immense pride in sharing his children’s accomplishments with everyone he met. Brian is survived by his four beloved children: son Kendall Neverman (with former partner Danielle), son Joel, daughter Lauren, and son Isaac Neverman (with his former spouse Susan). Brian is also survived by his parents Paula (Stephen) Sheffler, brother, Matthew (Kim Hottman) Neverman, nephew, Damien Neverman, niece, Melana Reifsteck, and numerous cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Aunt, Mona Durben, and Uncle, Charles Puckett. 

Brian was an accomplished businessman and proud father. As the President of Neverman Floor Artisans, Inc. Brian grew the business into the success it is today. He was also very proud to have four other Nevermans working in the business full-time. Through his work he became a member of numerous organizations, including the Tile Contractors Association of America, the Central Illinois Builder’s Association, and the Trustee Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local 8 apprenticeship committee, to name a few. 

As an Eagle Scout, Brian loved the outdoors. He truly enjoyed traveling, camping, staying active, and spending time in nature. Brian loved art and architecture and recently, he had the opportunity to tour several Frank Lloyd Wright buildings with his girlfriend, Lynn, which brought him great joy.

Brian was deeply devoted to his children, parents, and friends. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Memorial donations may be made in Brian’s name to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 7 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Champaign, Illinois 710 N Neil St. Champaign, Illinois 61820. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 24, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Lutz Braunig officiating. Following the service, Brian will be laid to rest at Bailey Memorial Cemetery in Tolono.
