Danville- Brett Alan Hauk, 51, of Danville passed away at 8:52 PM on Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was born on April 26, 1961 in Danville to Robert "Bob" and Norma Oakes Hauk. He married Marla Shields who gave him two sons who survive, Adam (Jodi Bauer)Hauk of Crawfordsville, IN, and Ryan (Alisha) Hauk, also of Crawfordsville. He later married Wanda Shipman Storm on February 18, 2006 in Sevierville, TN. She survives. Also surviving are four step-children, Amanda (Brett) Thomas of Monkey Island, OK, Greg (Shawna) Storm II of Villa Grove, IL, Andrea (John) Brooks of Rossville, IL and Mathew Storm of Hoopeston and; two brothers, Jeff (Diana) Hauk of Anderson, IN and Kevin (Donna) Hauk of Stover, MO; a sister Cassandra (Mike) Garrett; Mother-in-law Mary Shipman of Hoopeston, IL; sister-in-law Donna (Dan) McCray of Cissna Park, IL; brother-in-law Elmer (Chris) Shipman of Odenville, AL; granddaughter Addison Hauk; step-grandchildren, Hailey and Hanna Brooks, Madilyn Storm, and Gavin Storm; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Dawn, Courtney, Lindsay, Nikki, Brittany, Tanya, Chance and a great aunt, Mary Louise Hack. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Brett worked for Quaker as a Packaging Operator from May 18, 2008 until present. He had also worked for Masterguard, Flex-n-Gate, and was the Co-Owner/Operator of Hauk Sign and Graphics. Brett loved riding his Harley motorcycle with his wife, and spending time on the beach. Brett was a drummer for the High Sierra Band, and the Harvest City Boys. Family was his passion, even recently working with his son Ryan on racing go-karts. A service to celebrate the life of Brett Hauk will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at New Life Church of Faith at 1419 N. Bowman Ave. in Danville. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 2-6 PM on Monday, July 30, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
