Brett Buchanan, 58, of Danville, Illinois passed away on May 21st, 2017 due to complications involving his lifelong battle with adolescent diabetes.Brett was born on May 23rd, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Austin and Doris Buchanan, both of whom precede him. In heaven, Brett will also be reunited with his adoring step-father, Thomas W Chapman. Brett is survived by many loving relatives, including his two beautiful daughters; Jill and Samantha Buchanan, both of former wife and good friend, Carey Crose. Brett will also be missed by his loving sisters and brother, Kimberly Pacilio (wife of James Pacilio), Christine Vishnesky (wife of Paul Vishnesky), Anne Bell (wife of Philip Bell), and Thomas Noble Chapman. Additionally, his five nieces; Sunny, Jamie, Mikayla, Tara, and Julia. Brett graduated from Danville High School in 1976 and attended the University of Illinois. Brett was employed by Courtesy Motors for over 30 years, a true testament of his love for mechanics and electronics. Brett was a brilliant mind and never had a steak or Coca-Cola he did not enjoy. Brett will be missed dearly. Memorials may be made in Brett's name to the American Diabetes Association. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park's Chapel on June 21st 2017 at 10:00 am.
