Danville - Brenda Sue Britton-Calin, 60, of Danville passed away at 12:20 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at her home. She was born on August 12, 1953 in Danville to James B. and Eleanor A. Ritter Britton. They survive. She is also survived by a daughter MeLisa Calin-Yorde of Effingham; a brother, James B. (Brenda) Britton, Jr. of Potomac; two sisters, Tammy A. Hall of Georgetown and Sondy Nolte of Danville; three grandchildren, Kaitlin Anne, Jonathan Ryan, and Nadia Kathleen; four nephews, Roy, Patton, Justin, and Luke; five nieces, Dawn, Jodi, Angie, Kara, and Erin; Special friends and family, Carolyn Sue OBrien of California, Glen and Dee Britton of Danville, Kay Wilson of Danville, Ray Engall and a host of friends at Valleyview, and her special nephew, Luke James Britton. She was preceded in death by a son on December 24, 1970, a sister, Terri L. Britton on July 7, 2000, her maternal and paternal grandparents, and many favorite aunts and uncles. Brenda loved all kinds of music and would look forward to watching the CMAs every year. She was a sports fan, but especially liked watching Jeff Gordon in NASCAR and watching the Super Bowl every season. Brenda also loved the outdoors and loved to sit by the campfire in Indiana, feed and watch the birds, look at flowers, and spend time on the farm on Short Road. She was also a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose. A service to celebrate the life of Brenda Britton-Calin will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Joe Humrichous will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the services on Thursday. Memorials may be made to an Education Trust Fund for her grandchildren and Luke James Britton.
