Brenda Robertson

Brenda Robertson,64, a beloved member of the community and dedicated family woman, passed away on November 24, 2025, at Union Health in Terre Haute, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 4, 1961, in Danville, Illinois, Brenda's life was characterized by her deep love for her family and her unwavering support for those around her.

Brenda devoted over 20 years of her career as a bank teller at IFCU, Industrial Federal Credit Union, where she not only fulfilled her professional duties but also forged lasting relationships with her coworkers and members. She was known for her approachable nature and the attentive service she provided to everyone who entered the bank.

Her education began at North Vermillion High School, where she laid the foundation for a life committed to personal and communal growth. A member of the Cayuga Christian Church, Brenda found joy and companionship in her faith community. She participated in the "Life After Loss" group, a testament to her compassionate spirit and desire to support others dealing with grief.

An avid animal lover, Brenda cherished her cats and enjoyed their companionship. Family was of paramount importance to her, and she took great pride in her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Brenda is survived by her husband, Steven Robertson; her daughter, Crystal (William) Ellinger; her son, Shawn (Ashley) Cunningham; and her grandchildren, Mercedes Randles, Jace and Elizabeth Cunningham, and Ethan (Kaylee) Ellinger. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Dennis (Lynda) Smith, and Bill Williams.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Artice (Baker) Williams, and her late husband, Ed Hillenburg. She also mourned the passing of her siblings, Virginia Gulliams, Cheryl Williams, Shirly Craft, and Betty Melvin.

Visitation will be held on Sunday November 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, located at 215 N Division St, Cayuga, IN 47928. The funeral service will take place the following day, Monday December 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at Cayuga Christian Church, 406 S Logan Street Cayuga, Indiana.
