Danville- Brenda Mae Bostic, 68, of Danville passed away at 5:19 AM on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on June 27, 1944 in Danville to Herman Walter and Agnes Kiel Kienietz. She married Charles Bostic on September 3, 1966 at Bethel Lutheran Church. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Tim) Snelson of Peoria, IL and Melinda (Mark) Potter of Decatur; a sister June Young and step-sister, Peggy Pannbacker; four grandchildren, Trent and Taylor Snelson and Morgan and Meredith Potter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, and Stepmother, Opal (Miller) Kienietz, brother Robert Lee Kienietz, and stepbrother Ronald Mietzler. Brenda was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church and an active participant in the Vermilion County Democrats. She was the current Danville Township Clerk and had been employed in the Vermilion County Circuit Clerk's Office for 15 years. She was currently employed as Manager of the Tilton Drivers License Facility. She loved being involved in the activities of her children and grandchildren, and also enjoyed playing Euchre and Scrabble. A service to celebrate the life of Brenda Bostic will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Danville. Pastor Ed Stone will officiate. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Royal. Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Monday, October 22 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
