Brenda Kerst, 48, of Danville IL. passed away at 6:40 am on October 22, 2012 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. She was born April 29, 1964 to Robert L. and Mary I. (Silberer) Kerst in Danville IL. Brenda is survived by her life partner Alyce Marion of Danville, son William (Mariah) Dodge of Milroy IN, grandchildren Brandy Jo, Michael, and Katlyn Dodge also of Milroy IN, two brothers Robert E. Kerst of Tilton and Ronald C. Kerst of Georgetown, one sister Shirley (Rick) Davis of Danville, nephews Jeffery and John Murdock and Mike Pryor, nieces Tammy Coon and Alysha Trammell, great-nephews Ethan Kincade, Jeffery, John and Tristin Murdock, Daniel Carlock, Tyrus and Zaine Trammell, great-nieces Karsyn Coon, Audrey Murdock, Alize Thomas, Skyla Trammell, and her special friend Walter Creamer of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David L. Kerst, and several loved ones. Brenda graduated from Danville High in 1982. She was a member of the Westville Gun Club and enjoyed spending time outdoors shooting and fishing. She was an accomplished woodworker who had a passion for animals that was nearly as great as her love for her family. A celebration of life memorial service will be held for Brenda at 12:00 pm on Friday October 26, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor Dave Rumley of the First Assembly of God church in Danville officiating. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorials can be made in Brenda's name to her family.
