Danville- Brenda Jeanne Smith 58, of Danville, left this life together with her daughter Brittany at 4:15 p.m. Saturday (March 7, 2015) as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident west of Sadorus, IL. Brenda was born Jan. 29, 1957 in Danville, IL., she was the daughter of Norman and Norma DeNeal Claypool. She married Bradley J. Smith on June 18, 1977 in Bismarck, IL. He survives. Other survivors include her parents; Norman and Norma Claypool of Bismarck. One daughter, Bethany (Zachary) Wrensch of Madison, WI. 2 brothers Barry (Dianne) Claypool and Byron (Vickie) Claypool both of Bismarck. A maternal grandmother Elizabeth DeNeal of Danville. Also several nieces and nephews and too many dear friends to list. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Samuel DeNeal and her paternal grandparents Chester and Vida Claypool. Brenda was a homemaker and also was a caregiver for many others. She was a member of the Northside Church of Christ in Bismarck. Where she was active in the work of the church in addition to being a Sunday School teacher. She was supportive and involved in so many individuals lives because of her loving and nuturing ways. Anyone who knew her, loved her and knew they could always count on her to be there. Her involvement in many community functions and organizations was always second to her family, who she cherished the most. Brenda loved cooking and making “goodies”. She enjoyed crafting and she also enjoyed gardening. Whether it be vegetable gardening or flowering gardening, it didnt matter to Brenda. Also getting up early in the morning and watering her flowers was her sanctuary. She loved traveling and enjoyed being out in nature as well as being on the beach. She enjoyed all of this with her loving husband Brad by her side. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday April 18, 2015 at the Northside Church of Christ in Bismarck. Officiating the service will be Jim Russell. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in South Ross Twp.
