Brenda J. Trimble

Brenda J. Trimble, 79, of Alvin, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.

She was born December 3, 1944, in Paris, Illinois, daughter of the late Floyd and Pauline (Winkler) Blaker.

Brenda met the love of her life, Larry Trimble, at 14 years old. They married September 23, 1961, at Farmers Chapel Church in Danville, Illinois, and he survives.

Surviving along with her husband are her two sons: Richard "Rick" Trimble of Bismarck, Illinois and Robbie Trimble of Alvin, Illinois; her grandchildren: Raymond Block, Denise Kizer, Troy Dawes and Dalton Trimble; along with several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are many special friends, and one extra special friend: Teresa Humrichous.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Stephanie Block; one son: Mike Trimble; one brother: Stephen Blaker; and two grandchildren: Stephen Block and Timothy Block.

Brenda attended Danville High School and was a member of The Rock Church in Danville, Illinois. Over the years, she worked for Palmer Bank, Holiday Square IGA, and Walgreens. She loved being a homemaker and enjoyed sitting down and making quilts, Afghan blankets and reading her bible. In her younger years, she enjoyed taking motorcycle rides with her husband, Larry. Brenda had a special place in her heart for animals and especially loved her two dogs Loki and Kate. Most of all, Brenda enjoyed spending time with her family.

A Celebration of Life for Brenda will be held at 2PM on Friday, July 12, 2024, with Pastor Joe Humrichous officiating and Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, Illinois. Burial will follow at a later date. Visitation will be from 1PM-2PM on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the funeral home in Danville.

Memorials in Brendas name may be made to the Vermilion County Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
