Brenda I. Norman

De Soto, Ill. - Brenda I. Norman, 65, of De Soto and formerly of Cayuga, Indiana passed away at 8:33 a.m. CST Monday, November 30, 2020 at her residence.

She was born March 31, 1955 in Danville, Illinois the daughter of the late Freda Mae Newell and Wayne Lee Newell.

Brenda married Dave Norman, Jr. on December 4, 1976 in Newport, Indiana. He survives.

Other survivors include her sons: Davy (Kelly) Norman of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Andy (Amanda) Norman of De Soto, Illinois; ten grandchildren: Aubree Norman, Andrew Norman, Kara Norman, Aunora Norman, Scott Smith, Alayna Norman, Alijah Norman, Lillyann Norman, Reanna Smith and Dakota Norman; two sisters: Donita Ramsey of Bloomfield, Indiana and Jennifer (Donny Vandevender) Whitlow of Dana, Indiana, and one brother: Ernest Wayne Newell of Indianola, Illinois.

Brenda was a retired registered nurse. She was a 1973 graduate of North Vermillion High School and 1975 graduate of the Indiana College of Nursing. Her biggest joys in life were her grandchildren.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. EST Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Scott Randolph. There will be no visitation. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
