Breanna M. "BB" Hendrickson

Champaign – Breanna M. “BB” Hendrickson, 22, of Champaign, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at her home. She was born February 20, 2003, in Danville to Robert “Bob” and Cynthia Hendrickson of Fithian.

She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Haley (Sincere Felton) Hendrickson of Danville and Alissa (Brett) VanValkenburg of Anchor, IL; a niece, River VanValkenburg and nephew, Allan VanValkenburg; grandparents, Kathy and Tony Pritchard; uncle, Billy Hendrickson and cousins, Talan and Kylee Hendrickson; her best friend, Anna Carrion; and her beloved cat, Smokey.

BB loved to stay active and was always involved in fitness, whether it was going to the gym to keep fit or dancing. She was also a talented gourmet cook and spent many hours reading a good book with her dear cat Smokey next to her. Most of all, B loved to laugh and had a big heart. Her smile was infectious and she would brighten the day of anyone she came across.

Breanna “BB” was loved immensely by all who had the honor of knowing her. We are deeply saddened with the abrupt loss and her absence is truly immeasurable. B lived a life that filled our ears with laughter and our hearts with love.

In life, B was the freest of spirits, unapologetically herself. She lived life to the fullest on her own terms. The joy and purity she brought to life can never be replaced. For us, she was the Sun, shining brightest in every room.

As we agreed, it’s never goodbye. It’s until we see you again, forever and always.

A service to celebrate the life of Breanna “BB” Hendrickson will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61834. Cody Miles will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Thursday prior to the service, also at Sunset in Danville. Cremation will take place following the services. Memorials in BB’s name may be made to a charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
