Brandon Simmons

Brandon Simmons, 18, of Covington, IN, passed away on June 13, 2015. He was born on September 10, 1996 in Urbana, IL, the son of Cecil E. "Bubba" and Shelly M. (Newnum) Simmons Jr. They both survive. Brandon will be deeply missed by his parents, sister, Holly Simmons, grandparents, Gary and Donna Newnum and Helen Simmons, aunts, Kelly (Brad) Snoddy and Jaime Pettit, uncles, John (Kim) Simmons, Jesse (Crystal) Simmons and Jeremy Pettit, many cousins and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cecil E. Simmons. Brandon loved to go fishing, play basketball and baseball, spending time with his many friends. He was a dedicated participant in the Covington Crazies cheer group and attended Dixie Bee Youth Group. A Celebration of Brandon's life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Covington's High School Gymnasium with Ryan Sowers officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Covington's High School Gymnasium. Brandon will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Brandon's name to the Fountain-Warren County Special Olympics. Sunset's Covington Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
