Brandon Jay Lock

Fithian - Brandon J. Lock, 49, of Fithian passed away at 3:03 AM on March 23, 2017 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL Brandon was born on November 28, 1967 the son of Russell Gilbert and Judith Louise Haskett Lock in Monticello, IL. He married Stephanie Combs on July 7, 2007 in Panama City, FL and she survives. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Lock of Fithian, IL, one son, Cole Lock of Danville, IL, one daughter, Dakota Bartlett of Fithian, IL, three brothers, Bryan Lock of Danville, IL, Bart (Debi) Lock of State Line, IN and Gary Lock of Altamont, IL, one sister, Karen (Bob) Spurlock of Oregon as well as several nieces and nephews. Brandon is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Brent Lock and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Brandon was a semi-driver for many years with various trucking companies. Brandon enjoyed coaching his son and daughter's sports teams in football, baseball and softball. He was a fan of the outdoors and loved all sports, including baseball, The Cubs, football, The Bears, basketball, The Illini, fishing and bowling. Brandon and his son Cole went deep sea fishing in Florida and that experience is one of Cole's many fond memories. Dakota's softball team won the championship with Brandon on the coaching staff which she is very fond of. Brandon loved life and always had a smile on his face. He was in instigator of "fun" with his nieces and nephews, always putting them up to orneriness. Brandon also enjoyed cooking, especially his wonderful butterscotch pies, working in the yard, riding his 2002 Harley Davidson Road King and spending time with family and friends. Every day, even while on vacation, Brandon and Stephanie would play three rounds of Yahtzee. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 27, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, IL. Patti Wise will officiate. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Oakwood, IL. Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
