Bradley W. Guthrie

GEORGETOWN - Bradley W. Guthrie, 55, of Fitzgerald, GA, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 8:12am, Tuesday, February 5th, 2008, in Georgetown, IL. He was born on February 11th, 1952, in Danville, IL, to Robert Dean Guthrie and Mary (Walton) Guthrie. He married Laura Jackson on July 23rd, 1976, in Georgetown. She survives. Other survivors include: his son, Justin (Katie) Guthrie of Georgetown; his daughter, Shannon Guthrie of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Hannah Ceader and soon-to-be-born grandson, Gavin Guthrie; his brothers, Robert Bobby (Karen) Guthrie of Arizona and Bruce Guthrie of Georgetown; his sister, Francine (Richard) Dowers of Westville; and many nieces & nephews, as well as, many good friends. His parents preceded him in death. Brad worked in maintenance for General Motors in the Tilton Foundry and Fitzgerald, GA, Plant for over 39 years. He enjoyed antique cars, playing pool, golfing, and motocross. He cherished his time spent with his family and especially with his granddaughter, Hannah. The family would like to send a special thanks to Tonya Ross, his hospice nurse, for all she did. The family will have a Memorial Visitation from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, February 8th, 2008, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Carle Hospice.
