Hubert Brad Bradley Golden, 55, of Bismarck, passed away at 7:47 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Champaign. Brad was born on September 7, 1952 in Danville, the son of Hubert Wesley and Shirley (Myler) Golden. He married Carol Johnson on May 25, 1973 at the Church of Christ in Bismarck. She survives. He is also survived by his one son- Robert (Robin) Golden of Bismarck; one daughter- Heather Golden of Chicago, Illinois; four brothers- Craig (Gayle) Golden of Danville, Larry (Barbie) Golden of Danville, Ted (Penny) Golden of Bismarck and Tommy (Betty) Golden of Bismarck; one sister- Carol (Brad) McCubbin of Bismarck; two grandsons- Ayden and Gavin Golden of Bismarck; special friend- Jim (Kay) Brown of Hoopeston; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandparents- John and Irene Golden,Ed and Marie Hoshauer, and Joseph and Goldie Bishop. Brad graduated from Bismarck High School in 1970. After high school he attended Eureka College, where he was known as Tons of Fun. He worked for over 20 years at Local #703 as a laborer. Brad attended Lincoln Methodist Church and later Bismarck Methodist Church as a younger man. Brad loved to golf, mow, hunt, fish and eat. He most of all loved to spend time with his two grandsons. A Celebration of the Life of Brad Golden will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2007 at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center with Pastor Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Tribute Center. Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
