Bonnie (Bateman) Theobald

Bonnie Theobald, 101, of Rantoul passed away Nov. 30, 2024. Bonnie was born in Helena, Mont., to Leo and Mae Bateman on June 4, 1923. Bonnie married Robert Klos in 1941 and he was killed in action in 1944. Their daughter Roberta was born later that same year. Bonnie married Vernon Theobald in 1947. Together they had three children, Donald, David and Julie. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; her daughter, Roberta; and son, Donald. Bonnie is survived by her son, David Theobald of Roswell, Ga., and daughter, Julie Theobald of Rantoul; as well as her grandchildren, Alexis (Robert) Durbin; Lisa (James) Shanahan; Andrew Theobald; Amy (David) Colon and five great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, at Maplewood Cemetary in Rantoul.
